A Community Service "Training on Curriculum Design for Senior High School English Teachers in Bengkulu"

On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, the lecturers from the English Education Postgraduate Program of Universitas Bengkulu—Dr. Wisma Yunita, M.Pd., Dr. Alamsyah Harahap, Dip.TESL., M.Lib., and Fernandita Gusweni Jayanti, Ph.D.—organized a community service event titled “Pelatihan Penyusunan Modul Ajar Kurikulum Merdeka bagi Guru Bahasa Inggris Sekolah Menengah Atas Kota Bengkulu”. The training, held at Aula SMAN 1 Kota Bengkulu, aimed to strengthen the professional skills of senior high school English teachers in developing teaching modules based on the Kurikulum Merdeka framework.

Numerous English teachers from various high schools in Bengkulu attended this event, which provided them with practical insights and strategies for effective module development, fostering creativity, and promoting student-centered learning. The lecturers emphasized the importance of integrating local content and innovative teaching methods to meet the needs of today’s learners.

This activity is part of the study program’s commitment to supporting educational development in the region and fostering the professional growth of teachers in line with the demands of the new curriculum.
