One important factor in supporting the success of a learning process is the completeness of adequate facilities. This is done to create a learning atmosphere that is supportive, comfortable and enjoyable for both students and educators.
The facilities used in the learning process for the English Education Undergraduate Study Program are considered sufficient. Broadly speaking, the main facilities and infrastructure in the English Education Study Program include: micro teaching rooms 1 and 2, language laboratory rooms, prayer rooms, lecturer rooms, multi-purpose rooms, examination rooms, and libraries. All of them are very adequate and support the Tridharma activities of PT.
- Micro Teaching Room 1 and 2
Micro teaching (micro teaching) is a model of teaching practice training in a limited scope (micro) to develop basic teaching skills (base teaching skills). There is a special room for carrying out micro teaching activities, namely the micro teaching room. There are two micro teaching rooms, namely micro teaching room 1 and micro teaching room 2. These rooms are located on the 3rd floor of the FKIP Postgraduate Building with a capacity of more than 30 people. This room is a soundproof room equipped with the usual equipment in both traditional and modern classes. Modern learning implementation tools such as LCD projectors, speakers, white boards, moveable chairs, etc. are provided in this room to train students to practice learning practices. This room is also equipped with an observation room and a digital recording device. Students who are practicing learning will be recorded and stored in video form so that students can see for themselves their appearance in the learning process so they can improve their performance in the next practice.
- Language Laboratory Room
In addition to the availability of classrooms, the English Education Study Program also provides language laboratory facilities. This laboratory is equipped with air conditioning and multimedia computer equipment. This facility is used for lectures such as developing learning media, writing, interpreting, TOEFL practice, and so on. To expand learning facilities, the multimedia computer in this laboratory is connected to the Internet network. Several courses use this room by utilizing the internet network for students to be able to find information more broadly in order to develop lecture assignments.
- Mosque. Apart from being a place of worship, of course, the campus prayer room has a function as a safe and comfortable place for students to unwind and discuss. The position of the prayer room is also quite strategic, which is located on the ground floor of the Joint College Building (GKB).
- Lecturer Room. The English Education Study Program of course also provides facilities for its teaching staff, namely in the form of a lecturer room. The lecturer room is located on the 3rd Floor of the Bengkulu University FKIP Building. This room serves as a work space for lecturers. This room is equipped with work desks and chairs which are usually used by lecturers & students for discussion/consultation facilities. The lecturer room is also equipped with a cupboard for storing books and documents, air conditioning (AC), and a small prayer room.
- Multi-function Room
The English Education Study Program has a multipurpose room to support student activities, both academic and extracurricular activities. The multipurpose room is facilitated with an LCD projector, sound system, LCD TV, whiteboard, movable chairs and air conditioning. With these facilities, students can easily organize events that are very useful to broaden students’ horizons, such as seminars, training, and debriefing from various sources.
