K3L Training and Socialization in the FKIP Campus Environment: Promoting a Culture of Safety and Environmental Health

Monday, July 1, 2024 – In an effort to foster a culture of awareness regarding Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment (K3L) within the campus setting, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) conducted a K3L Training and Socialization program attended by members of the academic community. This activity aimed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and preparedness of students, lecturers, and educational staff in maintaining safety and environmental health across the campus.

The training was implemented through various activities, including orientation sessions, simulations, dissemination of informational media, and field practices. During the orientation sessions, participants were introduced to K3L policies and fundamental principles in higher education institutions, including procedures for responding to emergency situations such as fires, natural disasters, and minor workplace accidents on campus.

One of the most engaging components of the program was the emergency response simulation, in which participants received hands-on training on proper evacuation procedures, the use of fire extinguishers (APAR), and basic first aid measures (P3K). In addition, through informational media such as posters, educational videos, and K3L booklets, participants were encouraged to adopt safe and healthy behaviors in their daily campus activities.

The program was also integrated with green and clean campus initiatives, including environmental clean-up activities, waste management practices, and tree-planting programs as symbols of commitment to environmental sustainability. As a result, the K3L socialization not only raised awareness of occupational safety and health but also strengthened the ecological responsibility of the campus community.

Through this training, it is expected that the FKIP academic community will develop a stronger collective awareness of the importance of implementing K3L principles in all academic and non-academic activities. Ultimately, a culture of K3L awareness is anticipated to become an integral part of a safe, healthy, and environmentally conscious campus environment.
