UNIB FKIP IMPLEMENTS THE ACCREDITATION OF THE DOCTORAL EDUCATION STUDY PROGRAM
University of Bengkulu Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP UNIB) received a visit from the Assessor Team of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) in order to visit the Doctor of Education Study Program. The Assessor Team consists of Prof. Dr. Sugiyono, M.Pd (State University of Yogyakarta), and Prof. Dr. Aan Komariah, M.Pd (Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia). The visitation took place on 15 – 17 October 2019.
The arrival of the assessor team was welcomed by the Chancellor of the University of Bengkulu, Dr. Ridwan Nurazi, M.Sc, Dean of FKIP Unib Prof. Dr. Sudarwan Danim, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Lizar Alfansi, SE, MBA, Ph.D, Deputy Deans of FKIP, Lecturers and Team Forms for Doctoral Education Study Program FKIP Unib. In his remarks, the Chancellor welcomed the assessors team and introduced the personnel from the entire Form Team. The Chancellor said that accreditation is a priority for all study programs in Indonesia, both private universities and state universities. “Hopefully as long as the assessors work at FKIP Unib, those who will clarify the form documents and self-evaluation will run smoothly,” hoped the Chancellor. In addition, the Chancellor also hoped that the assessors would be pleased to provide input on existing deficiencies so that they could be used as self-evaluations in order to advance the Faculty of KIP Unib.
BAN-PT Assessor Team Prof. Dr. Sugiyono, M.Pd in his remarks greatly appreciated the academic community from the KIP Faculty who were very enthusiastic in carrying out accreditation activities. He also said that his arrival was in the context of friendship and was given a task by BAN-PT in the context of field assessments, as well as wanting to see what FKIP had implemented, especially the Education Doctoral Study Program. “We hope that the academic community of FKIP Unib can accept our arrival as assessors, and hopefully what we all want can be achieved,” he said.
The event continued with an explanation of the profile of the Faculty of KIP Unib by the Dean of FKIP, and the Education Doctoral Study Program Form Team in the International Room of the FKIP Unib Learning Lab Building. The Assessor Team also made visits to the micro teaching laboratory, computer laboratory, and several learning facilities and other services.
